The Oxford Prospects Programmes, organised by the Oxford Prospects and Global Development Institute (OPGDI), offer immersive, interdisciplinary on-site courses for students from leading Chinese universities.

Each module lasts two weeks, during which students experience Oxford’s distinctive academic and cultural environment. This invaluable opportunity allows participants to study at a world-class university, engage with renowned academics, and strengthen their academic and professional skills for future careers.

Our summer and winter programmes typically include:

  • Lectures by leading Oxford professors, scholars, and researchers on interdisciplinary topics and current global issues.
  • Academic Skills Workshops covering presentation skills, public speaking, postgraduate study opportunities, career pathways in the UK, and more.
  • Guided visits to Oxford’s most significant historical and cultural landmarks.
  • A day trip to London, exploring major sites such as the Houses of Parliament and the British Museum.
  • An excursion to a UK heritage site, for example Windsor Castle – the home of the royal family – or Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.
  • A Special Guest Lecture by a leading figure in British arts and culture.
  • Social and cultural activities, including group dinners at local restaurants, a traditional Oxford Ball Evening, and a Formal Dinner in an Oxford college dining hall.
